Water Heater: Rent/Buy

Helpful Information from a Hudson Park resident

We made the switch from renting our hot water tank to purchasing one.

After almost 10 years renting our hot water tank we took the opportunity to get out of the contract with Reliance last December.

We crunched the numbers & it turns out that buying a hot water tank is less expensive than renting, especially since Reliance doesn't offer anything more than just providing the tank (no liability, or timely service when our hot water tank died). Vision Air provided a new tank, new mixer valve, installation, and drained & disconnected the rental tank (the state in which Reliance agreed to pick it up) for $1300, taxes in.
